Gail Steuart Woolaway designs interiors, lighting, furniture and accessories. She works with local artisans to create one of a kind, limited edition and production products. Her glass and metal lighting fixtures were inspired by ancient Roman scavo glass seen at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

As an apprentice, after graduation from Michigan State University, she worked in San Francisco on hotel projects in the Pacific Rim. She opened her own business in Honolulu and worked with prominent architects on commercial and residential projects in Hawaii and the Mainland.

Gail returned to the Bay Area to set up her design studio and divided her time between Aspen, Colorado and San Francisco, California. She wrote for Designers West Magazine reviews of the International Design Conferences at the Aspen Institute. Gail is an avid world traveller and is inspired by her passion for ethnographic art and culture. Each adventure she embraces unleashes design ideas to develop and refine.
